According to advisor Brad Beckworth, Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has entered a rehabilitation treatment facility.
Manziel, 22, whose well-documented, off-the-field incidents include various alcohol-related activities decided to enter rehab Monday, per Beckworth in a statement to ESPN.com, ” Johnny knows that there are areas in which he needs to improve in order to be a better family member, friend and teammate and he thought the offseason was the right time to take this step,”
This open admission signals that the former 2012 Heisman Trophy winner wants to improve upon what was a disastrous rookie campaign in which he passed for a mere 175 yards and completed 51.4 percent of his passes, is a positive step in the right direction.
