Opening Day will be April 6, and fans can head to Dr. Pepper Park in Frisco, Texas to start taking on the excitement!
The Thursday season opener will start with a matchup against the Springfield Cardinals. The St. Louis Cardinals affiliate will face off with the RoughRiders beginning at 7:05 pm Central Time.
Fans who head to the game will receive schedule magnets (for the first 2,000 fans). In addition, there will be the Thirsty Thursday promotion ($1 domestic draft beers, $2 craft and import beers, and $1 Dr. Pepper products from 6-8pm). During the game, Jugglin’ Josh Horton will be providing entertainment. Afterward, fans are welcome on the field for a post-game fireworks show.
When the gates open at 6:00 pm, fans can head on over to the Choctaw Lazy River. This addition to Dr. Pepper Park was rated as the best ballpark improvement over $1 million for the 2016 season, by Ballpark Digest. So, floating in the water, watching baseball, and an all-you-can-eat menu with brats, hot dogs, peanuts, chips and Dr. Pepper products.
