No. 3 Clemson Tigers football heads on the road looking to stay perfect on the season. They will face ACC foe Boston College in conference action in front of a national audience. Clemson is used to playing under the national spotlight and have risen to the occasion often this year.
The Tigers come into this game with a 5-0 record overall and 2-0 record against conference opponents. On the other hand, Boston College has impressed in some games this season, but they have struggled in conference play. The Eagles currently have a 0-2 ACC record as they look to pull off an upset in front of their home crowd that would shock the college football world. Two weeks ago they defeated a Buffalo Bulls side that only has one win to their name which came against Army two weeks ago.
Boston College could use that momentum from last week’s home game to their favor. However, Clemson is clearly a better side than Buffalo and the Tigers have come away unphased so far despite some close results. Last weekend, Clemson showed they were for real in a defensive battle against the Louisville Cardinals in a game against two top-10 sides.
This week could easily become a blowout before the game enters the second quarter. On the other hand, Boston College could find a way to stop the Tigers’ offensive attack early on and force them to make adjustments at halftime. Either way, this game is worth watching as it could have implications on next week’s top ten depending on this result and others. Also, Boston College needs to find a way to pull out a win on Friday in order to not fall to 0-3 in conference play.
