Custom nets are created to meet the specific dimensions and materials of a netting project. These nets are available in a variety of mesh sizes and tensile strengths.

Sports nets ensure player safety and prevent errant shots by containing them in a secure environment. They also help players reach their full potential by fostering a safe and enjoyable sporting experience for all.

Customization

Custom nets are manufactured to the specific dimensions, materials, mesh size and other specifications required for a particular project. Regardless of the net style and application, Carron offers customization options for virtually every stock net indicated as “Made in USA.” To learn more about customizing your stock net, please view our Net Selection and Planning Guides.

We can also manufacture your net to any length or width and provide rope borders, pole pockets, bungee cords, or any other installation and mounting hardware needed. This includes nets for home gyms, batting cages, spectator safety netting in hockey arenas, baseball stadiums and golf ranges as well as barrier and divider netting.

For example, our high quality Unicourt nets are manufactured to match the height of your basketball court and come with side dowels and bungee cords for easy installation. These nets are made from 1-3/4″ square mesh in 3mm heavy-gauge netting and won’t shrink, mildew or rot when exposed to the elements. In addition, we can imprint your school, company, organization or event name and logo on the front or back of the net to enhance team spirit, promote events, raise funds and more. Nylon

Unlike sisal or cotton, nylon stretches. This elasticity gives netting walls tremendous shock absorbent properties. This enables the netting to take a beating before it will break, especially when used as batting cage netting. This type of netting is also highly abrasion resistant and has good wind-shear resistance.

We offer a number of different net types in nylon, including a specialized high-performance netting called Sapphire. This netting is made in the USA and features a heavy-duty 4” mesh, urethane impregnated for enhanced abrasion resistance and UV protection. It is also hydraulically depth stretched to improve knot tightness and reduce stretching and shrinking over time.

Nylon was first developed in 1935 by Wallace Carothers at the DuPont Company as a synthetic replacement for silk in textile products. Carothers never knew at the time that his invention would save lives and become one of the most important components in a variety of commercial and consumer products. Nylon is made up of a group of polyamides, and it is produced today by using two main compounds known as adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine. The chemical makeup of these two components is the reason why nylon netting has the descriptor of type 6,6. Nylon is a synthetic thermoplastic and is incredibly durable, elastic, resistant to tears and abrasions, and immune to the elements.

Purpose

Designed and fabricated with unique netting applications in mind, custom nets meet the dimensions, materials, mesh size, and other specifications specified by customers. These include specialized sports nets, barrier and safety netting, golf course, industrial, animal, bird, and drone containment netting, stadium netting, backyard nets, gymnasium and training nets, and many more.

Spectator safety nets, from hockey arena netting to baseball backstop nets, are a necessity for all venues with spectators. These durable nets are engineered to strict safety standards, prioritizing the wellbeing of workers while safeguarding surrounding areas and the environment.

Sports netting helps to enhance performance and enjoyment of various sporting activities by providing essential boundaries, containment, and protection for players, spectators, and surrounding areas. Sports netting includes backstops, home run fences, sideline netting, golf barrier netting, and batting cage nets.

Agriculture nets provide vital protection for crops by shielding them from harmful pests and birds, reducing the need for chemical pesticides, and encouraging eco-friendly farming practices. These nets also help to protect against sunlight damage, preventing sunburn and heat stress in delicate plants. These nets are often used for wildlife trapping and fish sampling. Trap nets, which are anchored to the bottom, mid-water, or on the surface, consist of a labyrinth-like chamber into which fish can enter but from which they cannot escape. They are normally composed of multiple panels of different mesh and twine sizes, with a rope border and hemmed edges.

Applications

Whether you need to contain debris, protect people or property, or prevent the spread of fires, custom netting are an essential component of many industries and settings. With their rugged construction and superior tensile strength, custom safety nets are able to withstand significant impacts and distribute forces effectively. These specialized nets can be customized according to the dimensions, materials, and mesh size of your project, helping to ensure the most effective solution.

Agricultural nets are also a vital tool for modern farming practices, enhancing crop yields and promoting sustainable agriculture. With their tailored designs, agricultural nets provide a range of functions, including pest control, bird exclusion, and crop shading. They can even be used to protect crops from damaging hailstorms, minimizing losses and reducing the need for chemical pesticides.
