It’s beginning to look more and more likely that Tom Hardy will be appearing in another comic book movie in the near future. His first time out was as the über villain, Bane, in the final film of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises

The question of what comic book adaptation he will appear in or the character for which he will be cast is still very much up in the air. It’s one that many will certainly be impatiently waiting for an answer for.

He has been listed as one possibility on the ever-growing list of candidates to assume the title role in Marvel’s upcoming adaptation of Dr. Strange. There is also talk of Hardy being sought for a role in Warner Bros. adaptation of the D.C. Comics property Suicide Squad.

Now a brand new rumor has surfaced claiming that Hardy is being pursued for the title role of the mutant powered super villain, Apocalypse, in Bryan Singer’s next X-Men installment X-Men: Apocalypse. IGN reports that Suicide Squad and X-Men: Apocalypse will both be filming over the next year and as they are presumably aiming for 2016 release dates.

Being a fan of Hardy’s work, I would love to see him in any of these roles.

How about the rest of you out there in the realm of comic geekdom? Which role would you prefer to see Hardy in?
