May 1st is nearly upon us, and with it comes the start of the highly anticipated summer movie season. It will kick off with arguably the biggest “tent pole” film of the summer, Avengers: Age of Ultron. If you need an explanation as to what a “tent pole” film is, please refer to Google, as I have neither the time nor patience to explain it to you. Now, I only say arguably, about Age of Ultron, because certainly there may be a contingent of fan-boys and fan-girls who argue the point, that another film could possibly unseat it as this summer’s box office champion.
But rather than putting too fine a point upon one single film for the summer, let’s ponder the numerous options available for our collective summer viewing pleasure. Below I have compiled a list of movies and their respective trailers, to give you, the readers, a glimpse at many of this summers hottest cinematic offerings. For more information on each movie at their official IMDb pages, click on the highlighted title heading above each clip.

Of the 20 plus tiles below, here are the ones that I personally need, above all else, to see this summer.
