We Are!
Two words. But a simple mantra that unites central Pennsylvania.
If you’re a college football fan–especially one from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania–then you know it’s about Penn State. Tucked in the middle of the Keystone State amidst rolling hills and scenic views that makes you feel like you’re in God’s country.
In Happy Valley, football is more than just getting first downs, nationally televised whiteouts and iconic jerseys with no names on them, it’s a way of life. It’s about honor and doing things the right way.
While the area is known for all of these things, as per sports betting sites such as https://freebetting.co.uk/, it is known as a program that has produced some of the brightest and most talented people in the entertainment industry.
Names such as ESPN sideline reporter/model, Melanie Collins, Good Morning America co-host Lara Spencer, Ty Burrell from Modern Family and Playboy playmate, Pia Reyes, just to name a few. Thanks to emerging into one of the hottest new male models, Brandon Falkenstein is set to add his name to this list.
At a dashing 6’3 and 190 pounds, the recently-turned 20-year-old native of central Pennsylvania exudes a millennial-age All-American GQ meets Abercrombie vibe thanks to modeling for the likes of Calvin Klein and appearing in publications such as Aaron and Avay Magazine.
Thanks to a toned, athletic and sculpted physique, Brandon is set to become one of the hottest new faces in men’s fashion thanks to being repped by notable agencies such as DAS Miami, Posche NYC, FS Agency Toronto CA, TB Talent in Pittsburgh and Mainline Models in Philadelphia.
Like many from the Commonwealth, Falkenstein lives and breathes Penn State blue and white and loves his Lions on Saturday’s and black and gold on Sundays for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
All-American handsome and ready to breakout, Falkenstein is ready to announce himself as the new big man on the proverbial male modeling campus.
Below is my Q and A with Brandon as we trash-talk about the budding Ohio State-Penn State border war, Eagles/Steelers, Tom Brady, modeling, women and that recent thriller in Happy Valley.

Congrats on being selected as the first male cover model of INSC, how excited are you about this? I am humbled and honored to be the 1st model for INSC. I am very excited to be featured in the publication. My hard work has paid off.
Word on the street is that you’re a big Penn State fan, thoughts on fellow Nittany Lion Saqoun Barkley going No.2 overall to the New York Giants? That is a mild understatement. I bleed Blue and White. Ever since I have been a kid I have been going to PSU games. My dad is a big PSU alum and I am following in his footsteps. I think is it great for Saquon to go the Giants. He will do very well and he will represent PSU in the NFL at the next level
As an Ohio State fan and family alum, we gonna have beef! How big is the Buckeyes-Lions rivalry in your eyes, as well as Nittany Lion Nation? Yes we will. PSU is a way of life in the Commonwealth. There are many great rivalries in the Big Ten. It is such a great conference. PSU/OSU, Michigan/Michigan State and many more are great rivalries. But the PSU/OSU is up there. I will say 9/29 PSU 24 OSU 17!* NIttany Lion Nation is a way of life. Wearing the colors Blue and White every home game is such a great college game day experience.
(Editor’s Note**: Ohio State 27, Penn State 26. Great game, and much respect!)
Since you’re a Keystone man, Eagles or Steelers? That is a tough one. I am in Central PA and I like both but I have to go with the Steelers. Black and Gold is the way to go. They are winners and they beat the Cleveland Browns every year!
Where were you when the Eagles beat the Patriots? I was back at college watching the Super Bowl with my friends. But I had college classes the next day so school comes 1st.
From a scale of 1-10 how much do you hate Tom Brady? I don’t hate Tom Brady. He is a winner and keeps on winning. He will go down as one of the greatest QBs of all time. People may not like him but he keeps on winning.
How long have you been in modeling? I started in December of 2017 and it has been a great journey. I am signed with 5 agencies: DAS Miami, Posche NYC, FS Agency Toronto CA, TB Talent in Pittsburgh and Mainline Models in Philly. I have to give to credit my manager Mike McMullen who has given me these opportunities. I work with great agencies and some of the best in the industry. However, expectations are very high and one is always on notice. You are held to a higher standard and much more is expected of you. I am 20 and not your normal 20-year-old college kid.
What’s it like to be a male fashion model? It is a great journey and life changing experience. However, one must be ready when they call for a go see, casting or represent the agency. You are a reflection of them and my manager. You must look like it as well. I am in the gym and training 7 days a week. Diet, lifestyle, and being fit is a way of life. I have to balance school, family and work and being a college student all at the same time. Thank god I have the best parents who are very supportive of me in this endeavor. Also, my manager keeps me in line every day and week.
Any of your friends give you grief over being one? That is a great question. At first, I got a lot of grief from them all. But as time went on they have become very supportive. In life you will have your cynics, skeptics, and critics. Quite frankly I don’t give a damn what people think. I love what I do and they are just jealous.
What fashion tips and trends can you drop for your fellow brothers out there? It is a trending business to say the least. Be yourself, be comfortable on who you are, think outside the box. But go with the trends and styles. Each fashion market is different. Be open minded but maintain your standards and values.
How do you step up your game in dating? That is a tough one. Being in college it is very hard to date. I travel a lot, school, and work. I have to have a good balance. If I find the right girl that is great.. but school, fitness and modeling are my priorities right now. I will have plenty of time to find the right one. I am only 19 and enjoying my life right now.
Blonde, brunette or redhead? All of the above!
Best pick-up line to use on a woman? Another great question. But one that I use that works is I have great abs, do you want to see them.. the rest is history!
Describe your perfect woman? That is a very tough one. I have high standards! They best be like my mom! Values, honesty caring, loves fitness, a go getter, someone who has drive, loves PSU football and wants it all in life!
Thoughts on the growth of modeling on IG? IG has changed the way the business is. Most talents are found on social media nowadays. Posting and tagging daily are key. But, for example you can have all the followers you want and and be an IG model or a real signed model! But that is a bunch of bull shit. I know many kids my age that are IG models and they feel good about themselves because they have 20,000 followers. Do you want to be an IG model or actually signed with an agency who can get you paid work? I will take what I am doing signed with great agencies and have a great manager.
Any tips or advice you have for those looking to get into modeling? Work your ass off and get seen. I stumbled into it and the rest is history. It is a very cut throat business. You have to separate yourself from everyone else. You must have a good look, good skin tone. and be in shape. Find the right manager and agencies to work with. Be humble, work your ass off and never be satisfied. Don’t do anything you don’t want to do. Have high standards and ethics. Always ask questions don’t settle for being ok. If you do that hard work beats talent every day!
Special thanks to Brandon Falkenstein, Mike McMullen for their time and assistance during this Man Up! feature.
