Actress Izabellah Diez is gearing up for the release of her newest film titled “Mi Quinceanera Loca”. The film is inspired by her own quinceanera. Izabellah’s first lead role was in Tubi TV’s “Run This Town” which led to a co-starring role in “Gacy: Terror in Suburbia” and a lead role in “My Father’s Financé” Izabellah is also a competitive cheerleader and spends a lot of her time traveling to competitions. To say she is busy would be an understatement! Thank you Izabellah for taking time out of your busy schedule for this interview.
1. Tell us about your newest film.
My newest film “Mi Quinceanera Loca” follows Sophia, a 14-year-old girl who is having a quinceanera and goes through the motions of the planning of the party with her family and friends. It is a heartwarming, loving and hilarious film that has something for everyone.
2. What was the inspiration behind this film?
The inspiration behind the film is really based on my own quinceanera and the fun we had planning the party.
3. How did you get started doing acting?
I had broken my elbow in cheer learning how to do a back handspring. I had decided that I didn’t want to just sit around so I asked my mom if I could take some acting classes and once, I was in those classes I really loved the art of acting.
4. What has been your favorite film role so far?
My favorite role so far has been playing Sophia in “Mi Quinceanera Loca”. The cast and crew laughed so much during the filming of the movie. I cannot wait for everyone to see the movie.
5. What was your favorite memory from all the projects you’ve worked on so far?
My favorite memory was when I did the movie ‘My Father’s Fiancé”. There was a scene where I was kidnapped, and I had to fight off the kidnapper. It was physically challenging. And I really enjoyed doing something out of my comfort zone.
6. Tell us something people would be surprised to learn about you.
People would be very surprised to know that I am a huge animal lover. I love all animals, but my absolute favorite ones are dogs and horses. I work with an organization called The Shea Center. What they do there is they provide services for the disabled to ride the horses. It is such a beautiful cause and gives so many people with disabilities so much hope.
