One of the more below the radar teams in the NFL will take on one of the league’s biggest disappointments in week 11. The under-performing Jacksonville Jaguars will fly to Michigan, where they will take on Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions. The Jaguars continue their losing ways, as week 10 saw them fall 24-21 at home against divisional opponents the Houston Texans. The Lions, however, have found their way to the top of the NFC North with a victory over the Minnesota Vikings a week ago.

Blake Bortles was supposed to take the next step to becoming a franchise quarterback this season. Instead, he has taken two steps back and the Jaguars brass has to be scratching their heads. Maybe even considering a new quarterback in next year’s draft if Bortles’ play continues down the path it has to this point. The team entered the season with so much hope, especially on the offensive side of the ball. But with Bortles’ struggles, the team has gone in the gutter. They have won all of two games thus far, and neither were exactly convincing victories. Now they need to take to the road, and they aren’t even getting a touchdown worth of points with the spread.

The Lions have not been a dominant team by any means this season. They have been mostly up and down like a roller-coaster, resulting in a 5-4 record through 10 weeks. But despite that, they find themselves in the playoffs if the season ended today, with Matthew Stafford and the offense mostly responsible for it. Their defense is average at best, but they can score with just about anyone. They have mainly benefited from playing at home this season, going 3-1 in their first four contests there. Given the Jaguars have a similar profile of being able to score (sometimes) with an average defense, the edge has to be given to the home team who has at least had some success this season.
