Week six of the NFL season will see a battle of AFC West rivals. The Kansas City Chiefs will take on Derek Carr, Amari Cooper and the rest of the Oakland Raiders. The Chiefs have had an up and down season, as they alternate wins and losses. A bye last week followed a road loss in Pittsburgh, which was more of a massacre than a loss. The Raiders on the other hand, lead the division at 4-1 and beat the Chargers 34-31 last week.
The Chiefs simply do not look as good as many expected them to be. Their alternating of wins and losses was not the plan before the bye, but nothing they can do about that now. One of the key takeaways from their four games is the difference between home and road. They have won both home games at Arrowhead, which is known to be one of the biggest home field advantages. But on the road, they are 0-2, and have yet to surpass 14 points in a game away from Arrowhead. So this week they are once again on the road, against a very dangerous team.
The Raiders are one of the most exciting teams to watch in the NFL this season. Their offense has so many different guys who can score. Michael Crabtree, Amari Cooper, DeAndre Washingon and Jalen Richard are all dangerous with the ball, and their facilitator Derek Carr is one of the best young quarterbacks in football. The main concern this week is they are coming off a divisional victory a week ago. That could mean this one turns into a letdown game for the black and silver.
But I am not buying that for this week. The Raiders are a dangerous club, and they get the road Chiefs. If the Raiders do lose this one, it is going to be a very ugly game where the offense cannot get going against the Chiefs defense. I do not see it happening. So I am all aboard the Carr train, along with the Raiders as a whole.
