We are still very early in the College Basketball season, but teams are playing towards getting a better position for March Madness. In one of the night games, we will see the Kentucky Wildcats play host to the Duquesne Dukes. On paper, this has the making of being a very lopsided win for the Wildcats. However, as I have learned in my years of watching sports, I have learned anything can happen.

Let us first look at the Kentucky Wildcats. They are entering this game on a three-game winning streak as they start the season with a record of 3-0. This winning streak saw the Wildcats grab wins over Stephen F. Austin, Canisius, and Michigan St in very convincing matters. A lot of the reason for why the Wildcats are dominating opponents is the production they are getting from the starters.

One player who has shined early in the season is Isiah Briscoe. He has averaged of 19 and a half points in the first three games. Between his production and other production that they are getting it doesn’t come as a surprise that the Wildcats are off to a such a fast start. Throw in the fact that the head coach of the Wildcats in John Calipari ends up building these players up quickly for the NBA. It doesn’t come as a surprise.

On the other side, you have the Duquesne Dukes. They are coming into this game with a record of 2-2. They are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Canisius by the score of 78-77. Overall, the Dukes have been in every game this season, but I only see this one being a lopsided game because the Wildcats are the Dukes first true test this season. If the Dukes want to have a remote shot at winning this game, they need to lower the turnovers as they have an average of 16.0 per game.
