Each day, there are artists that are emerging and rising in popularity. But there’s one name that stands out from the rest – Mariya Milovidova.
Mariya Milovidova is an emerging artist in the fashion industry. Ms. Milovidova belongs to Ukraine, but she now resides in California. She was born on December 7, 1982, in Odessa, Ukraine, where she joined Grekov Art School to get deeper knowledge about the techniques of old-school European masters. While pursuing her dreams of becoming a leading fashion designer, she joined San Jose State University and received her bachelor’s in Art & Textile Design. This was but the beginning of her booming career.

And that’s exactly what Milovidova did! She is a multiple award winner and is internationally recognized as the most creative artist and fashion designer of her generation; she is one of the few fashion designers with her own Side-Laced Dress patent. Milovidova has also appeared as one of the participants for “The Artist as Curator,” a curation for Senator Scott Wiener’s office at the California State building in San Francisco, which opened on February 14, 2020.
Her passion and devotion enabled her to unleash her creativity and step into the ever-evolving fashion industry. This was when she founded ‘Mariya Milovidova Art and Fashion,’ a fashion and art brand that offers creative arts and paintings. The brand is headquartered in San Francisco Bay Area, West Coast, CA.
The initial stages were quite challenging for her, but she made it work. She started with a hand-painted collection and later transformed her skills in printing technology and traditional fabric painting techniques Milovidova didn’t limit herself solely to her venture. She evolved and eventually entered showbiz.
Milovidova has worked as a fashion designer for several films, one of which was Gold-In You San Francisco. Her painted dress, which was featured in the same film, was sold at West Coast Leather. This was a big moment for her; she gained immense recognition in the industry. This is where she decided to bring out her creativity and present it to the whole world.
In March 2019, Creative Startup Labs worked with a client to host an exclusive event called Fantasy Soiree: Dragon’s Lounge, which showcased Asian-inspired art, fashion, performance and visuals by Mariya Milovidova. Milovidova’s work has been acknowledged by many renowned international artists and celebrities across the globe.

Her dresses have been worn by Miss California 2022, Catherine Liang’s 2022 and Miss Nevada Kataluna Enriquez 2022, and her hand-painted couture gown in tiffany blue, which was worn by Miss Russian California Kseniia Anikushyna. Even one of the most famous San Francisco fashion icons, Ludmila Kisseleva (Eggleton), wore Milovidova’s outfit in the San Francisco Chronicle.
She has been featured in several renowned fashion events, including New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, LA Fashion Week, and Chelsea Football Club in London. A Notre Dame silk dress, designed by Mariya Milovidova and printed from Mariya’s original artwork, was the same dress that was featured in the New York Times, as well as in New York and Paris Fashion Weeks. In addition, she has been featured in Elle Magazine.
Milovidova lives and works out of her home in the beautiful, affluent neighborhood of CA.
Over the years, Milovidova has participated in numerous fashion, and art shows all over the Bay Area, including De Young Museum Fashion Exhibit dedicated to Jean Paul Gautier, EcoVVear Fashion Show, and San Francisco Fashion Week. She is certainly an inspiring fashion designer and is evolving like no other artist, making a name for herself. While operating from her own home in San Francisco Bay Area, she currently works with private clients and boutiques.
