COLUMBUS, OH After coming up short in a 30-24 loss to No.3 Michigan, Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Kyle McCord entered the transfer portal, landing at Syracuse.
McCord, who completed 229-of-348 passes for 3,170 yards in Columbus, completed 65.8 percent of his passes, threw 24 touchdowns and six interceptions for the Buckeyes in 12 games for Ohio State.
A native of Cherry Hill, NJ, one of the reasons for his departure was to be closer to his family in the Tri-State region.
With McCord now gone, the Buckeyes will likely now have to turn to either Devin Brown or Lincoln Keinholz in their upcoming Goodyear Cotton Bowl game vs. Missouri down in Dallas.
