First there was Carrie Underwood, then Taylor Swift, now meet Kelsea Ballerini, the new face of country pop.

What was once the old stomping grounds of the aforementioned Underwood and Swift, the 22-year-old wide-eyed and fresh-faced Ballerini has the vocals and talent to carry on the burgeoning country pop genre for years to come.

At the age of 19, Ballerini signed with Nashville-based label, Black River Entertainment and by late 2014, her debut single, “Love Me Like You Mean It” skyrocketed to the top of the Billboard Country Airplay charts and being named CMT’s Next Women of Country in 2014.

Thanks to the success of “Love Me Like You Mean It”, Ballerini would become the first female solo artist since Underwood to score a number one hit with her debut single and only the 11th in history. Her follow up songs ‘Dibs” would also reach the top of the Country Airplay chart in March of 2016.

Her third single, “Peter Pan” was recently released in March of 2016 as well.

Thanks to her early bout of success, Ballerini is now trying to be the next Underwood or Swift, but forge a name and brand all her own. Based on her hits so far, she is off to a promising start.
