On June 20, 2024, the vibrant city of Hamburg became a melting pot of art and diplomacy as Prime Minister Albin Kurti of Kosovo, alongside a prestigious delegation, visited the studio of the acclaimed artist Shuk Orani. This high-profile visit was marked by the presence of key figures such as Faruk Ajeti, Ambassador of Kosovo to Berlin, Nenad Rasic, Minister for Communities and Return, and Daulina Osmani, Deputy Minister of Culture, among other notable associates, as reported by AlbInfo.ch.

Shuk Orani, an esteemed multimedia and conceptual artist, warmly welcomed Prime Minister Kurti with an impressive presentation of his latest exhibition, “Experience.” This captivating showcase, hosted at ATELIER SO in Hamburg and supported by “Marktplatz der Manufakturen,” features an extensive collection of over 95 artworks. The exhibition includes a diverse range of paintings, sculptures, digital works, and documentary films from Orani’s previous projects, with over 30 large-format pieces measuring more than 2 meters.

As the delegation explored the exhibition, Orani personally guided Prime Minister Kurti through some of his most distinguished works. The atmosphere was lively and enriching, fostering an engaging dialogue among participants. The exhibition spaces, meticulously curated by international experts and Orani himself, served as a hub for discussions that spanned artistic, diplomatic, and social themes.

Prime Minister Kurti’s visit to Shuk Orani’s studio underscored the significant role of art and culture in diplomacy. This momentous occasion also celebrated the vibrant artistic and cultural community in Hamburg and the Kosovar diaspora in Germany. Among the esteemed hosts and supporters present were Ardiana Orani, the artist’s wife and collaborator on numerous special projects, photographer and exhibition assistant Daniel Prekepalaj, dedicated supporter Dardan Hazeraj, and Dominik Prekepalaj, a steadfast supporter of studio events. This significant visit not only elevated Shuk Orani and the “Experience” exhibition to new heights in contemporary art but also established an important platform for cultural and diplomatic dialogue between Germany and Kosovo.
