According to SI.com, Louisville head coach, Charlie Strong is expected to accept a five-year $25 million deal to become head coach of the Texas Longhorns.
Strong, who has helped bring Louisville back to national relevance, has not officially agreed to accept the Longhorn’s offer. Per media reports, Strong is expected to meet with with Louisville athletic director, Tom Jurich and president James Ramsey Saturday to inform them of his decision to accept the offer from Texas and replace the outgoing Mack Brown.
At Louisville, Strong went 37-15 (20-9 in the Big East/American Athletic Conference), highlighted by a 2012 BCS Sugar Bowl victory over the Florida Gators.
