The San Francisco 49ers are the second worst team in the NFL. They have been wallowing in controversy from week 1. After a week 1 victory, they have lost 7 straight games? Can they break that losing streak in week 10? Are you buying or selling the 49ers this week against the Arizona Cardinals?

The saying in football is if you have 2 QBs you have no QBs. That can be said for the way the season has been for the San Francisco 49ers. They started the season with Blaine Gabbert under center. He had his shining moments but then things began to falter. So they bring in Colin Kaepernick, same results. Is this because they have no offense or no QBs? I say both. Many thought that Kaep would be a perfect fit for Chip Kelly and his up-tempo offense. It has not been proven yet. It is tough to maintain an up-tempo offense when you just do not have much talent on that side of the ball. Your best player is probably RB Carlos Hyde and he is having problems staying healthy. Chip Kelly may need to rethink his philosophy in the NFL.

The Kelly philosophy is killing the San Francisco 49ers defense, just as he did in Philadelphia. The up-tempo style of offense does not lend for the defense to get the much-needed rest that it needs to recover for the next series. The San Francisco 49ers currently rank 32nd in total defense, 32nd in run defense, and 11th in pass defense. The biggest area of concern is the time of possession. The 49ers defense is allowing the opponents 34 minutes per game, ranking them last in the league here too. This is placing the ball in the hands of the opponent for 57% of the game. You are not going to win many games like this.

The San Francisco 49ers have a division game in week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals bring in the number 1 ranked defense in the NFL. They also bolster one of the best run games in the league. I would venture to say that the 49ers are in trouble. I am selling the San Francisco 49ers in week 10.
