Week three of the college football season is over for the Pac-12, which for the most part impressed. The Inscriber Magazine will reflect here on what happened.
Oregon Ducks
Quarterback Bo Nix dominated the 12th ranked BYU Cougars. He was responsible for five touchdowns (two passing and three rushing). Mar’Keise Irving and Noah Whittington combined for 163 yards on 27 carries.
Defensively the Ducks were relentless against the run allowing only 61 yards on 24 carries. With the Cougars failing to establish the run, quarterback Jaren Hall threw the football 41 times.
Washington Huskies
The Huskies team is now 3-0 and dominated the 11th ranked Michigan State Spartans. Michael Penix is putting himself as a dark horse candidate for the Heisman. He has thrown for 1,066 yards, 10 touchdowns and only one interception.
Penix shredded the Spartans defense. He threw for 397 yards and four touchdowns.
USC
Fresno State’s defense could not stop the USC running attack with as Austin Jones and Travis Dye ran for a combined 212 yards on 23 carries, quarterback Caleb Williams scored twice on the ground and threw for 284 yards and a touchdown.
Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, starting quarterback Jake Haener was carted off the field with an injury to his right leg.
Utah

Colorado State also was not able to stop the run either allowing Nakie Watson and Kannon Katzer to run for a total of 128 yards on only 14 attempts.
California
Facing an awful Notre Dame team that did not even trust its backup quarterback to throw the football. California still found ways to lose in disappointing fashion. Jack Plummer did showcase at times as he was able to utilize his legs to escape press, yet the offensive line was dreadful in protecting him.
Defensively, the Fighting Irish offensive line had its way with the Bears defensive line at times. Yet in crucial situations almost always came up with a big stop. Twice it did not happen though which allowed for points. One was a nonexistent offsides call on a missed field goal, the other was one of the dumbest penalties a player can make. A late hit on a quarterback.
UCLA
Legendary Bruins quarterback Troy Aikman tweeted a picture of a mostly empty Rose Bowl. Their play did showcase why fans are not likely to fill the seats as well.
UCLA barely held on to beat South Alabama. It took a 24-yard field goal with three seconds left to win. Dorian Thompson-Robinson did throw for 263 yards and three touchdowns. For South Alabama La’Damian Webb ran for 124 yards on 16 carries.
Arizona
For the Wildcats, the North Dakota State Bisons are usually one of the better teams in the FCS. Still a three point win, is a bit disconcerting. Quarterback Jayden de Laura threw for 229 yards and a touchdown.
Michael Wiley and de Laura combined for 101 yards on 19 carries. For the Bisons, Cam Miller went 10 for 12 passing for 124 yards and a touchdown. Hunter Luepke ran for 115 yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns.
