If you use TikTok as a social network with which to promote your brand, knowing and knowing how to interpret the analytics that the platform offers you is essential to improve your strategy on it and achieve your goals. Thanks to TikTok analytics you will be able to get more out of your publications and even your advertising strategy on TikTok.
The data on the number of followers, likes or comments are important, but thanks to social network analytics (because TikTok is not the only one that has them) you will be able to delve deeper into the results of your content and the trends of your audience.
In this article we tell you everything you need to know about TikTok analytics to boost your account and we recommend some external tools that will be useful when interpreting them.
What are the main TikTok analytics?
Mainly, TikTok allows you to view three types of analytics, which will show you data about different aspects of your account. They are the following.
TikTok analytics on the profile
When you access the TikTok analytics, the first one that appears is this, which shows you a general summary of the impact that your account has had in the last 7 days or in the last 28 (depending on your choice).
You will be able to see both the results of your videos and the evolution of your followers, as well as the visits that your profile has had.
TikTok analytics on content
Right in the next tab you will find the other main analytics of the platform. This will allow you to analyze, specifically, your videos and their metrics, as well as see if your publication frequency has changed. In addition, by clicking on each video you will be able to see an individual analysis of each one to see what impact it has had.
In fact, you can also access these individual analytics by clicking on each video from your profile and clicking on the “statistics” option.
These content statistics will give you information about the total views of each video, likes, comments, watch time and the number of times it has been shared, among others.
Unlike the analytics on your profile mentioned above, some content analytics only show results from the last 7 days.
TikTok analytics on followers
Finally, in the last tab you will find information about the demographics of your followers, such as their gender, where they live or what hours they are most active on the platform. It will also tell you which videos they are most interested in, something that will help you when creating new content.
If you have less than 100 followers, this analytic will not provide you with much information due to lack of data, but if you exceed this number, it can be very useful.
What other analytics does TikTok have at our fingertips?
In addition to these analytics, which are the most important and main, TikTok also allows you to find out information about other aspects of your account and the platform in general:
- LIVE analysis: if you have made live videos (also known as LIVE), right next to the “followers” analytics that we talked about before, this will also appear. In it you will be able to analyze the number of views that the live has had, the new accounts that have followed you, the total duration and even the diamonds that you have won (gifts that followers send and that can be converted into real money).
- Hashtags Visualization: This analytic is not related to the results of your account, but it can be tremendously useful. Every time you search for hashtags, you can see to the right of each one the number of views that total the videos in which they have been used. This can be very useful when selecting one or the other to include in your videos.
- Number of likes: in your account profile you will be able to see the total number of likes that all your posts have accumulated.
How to see TikTok analytics?
To be able to see the TikTok analytics, it will not be enough to have an account on the platform, but it will be necessary for this to be a TikTok Business account. But don’t worry, it’s very easy (and free) to switch from a normal account to a business account.
All you have to do is enter the settings of your social network profile by pressing the three dots in the upper right. Then you must click on “Manage account” and then on “Upgrade to Pro account”. After this, TikTok will ask you to choose the category that best describes your account.
In addition, with this Pro account you will be able to add a business website and an email to your profile.
Once this is done, you will already have access to the TikTok analytics. And, of course, only you will be able to see them, no one outside your account will have access to them.
To access the TikTok analytics, all you have to do is press the three dots at the top right again and click on the “statistics” option.
Tools to manage TikTok analytics
Using TikTok analytics, both from our account and from other parameters, is essential to create effective content and marketing strategies, but there are a large number of tools that can help us manage these analytics to understand them better or more fully and lead a better organization of the same.
Shoplus
Shoplus is one of the best-known TikTok analytics tracker. It not only allows you to analyze TikTok, but also many other platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn, among others.
On TikTok, Shoplus can give you an overview of how your videos are doing (or did in a certain period) by looking at the number of views which are trending products on TikTok.
On the other hand, it also shows you analytics about the interactions that users have had with your content, as well as a complete table with all the information from your publications so that you can compare them with each other.
TikTokAnalytics
This tool is also perfect for digital marketing professionals to be able to analyze the results of their TikTok strategies in a more complete and comfortable way. TikTokAnalytics has several KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and has a very cheap monthly price.
Analisa.io
This analysis tool is very useful for analyzing hashtags, as well as the profiles of other accounts, such as those of influencers or content creators, something very important for brand marketing departments.
Analisa.io has a report generator, as well as the ability to generate influencer mapping and perform authenticity checks.
Pentos
With Pentos, analyzing your TikTok data (both from your account and from others) will be very easy. This is invaluable, as current TikTok analytics don’t give you much insight into how other accounts are performing.
Pentos also allows you to know the trends of the social network and keep track of different accounts. This last option is available in the free version, where you can follow up to 3 different accounts. However, its monthly price is very cheap and in the paid version you can increase that amount.
Brand24
Brand24 is specifically designed to deeply analyze hashtags on the TikTok platform and other platforms. This is not only useful to know the trends of the moment, but also to know the impact that your brand is having on social networks. In addition, using Brand24 Hashtag Analytics you will have at your disposal the data on the hashtags used by the most influential profiles.
Finally, you can create alerts in Brand24 for the platform to notify you about performance changes of certain hashtags so that you know instantly when they have gone viral.
iconosquare
Iconosquare, like the rest, is a complementary analysis tool to TikTok’s internal statistics that can be tremendously useful.
Unlike other tools, Iconosquare offers users three types of accounts: a Pro (recommended for small businesses and professionals in the marketing sector), another Advanced (aimed at marketing teams) and another Enterprise (ideal for companies and large marketing teams).
It is priced higher than others, but also affordable at the business level.
Iconosquare offers you a very detailed analysis of the different data of TikTok videos, as well as the best time to post, among many other features.
TrendTok
It is a perfect tool for content creators as it allows you to track, identify and forecast trends on TikTok by location and category. This is something very useful when brainstorming to create content that goes viral. In addition, thanks to its developed Artificial Intelligence, TrendTok shows you personalized trend suggestions according to your niche and your account style. These trends, on the other hand, can be saved in the tool so that you never lose them.
As if that were not enough, TrendTok not only suggests trends that may be increasing, but also those that are declining and are gradually having less impact.
