TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter are not just any social media platform. They have emerged as a source of livelihood and breathing space for many users, especially the influencer community.
Whether personal, social, or professional ties, this plethora of media platforms has become a cornerstone for content creators. From building connections to sharing talent and making friends, Tiktok, in particular, has become a buzzing hub of activity.
And at the crux of all an influencer’s popularity lies the follower count. People using TikTok would know the significance of the number of followers on the network. For both individuals and brands, the follower count is a source of pride, and everyone dreams of growing it to the maximum number possible.
However, TikTok’s lack of accountability has become a headache for influencer and popular content creator Cayleigh Couch. The 33-year-old is a content creator and social media influencer. She is a prime example of a multi-tasking modern woman who is a wife, mother of two children, and a real estate agent. Dabbling in versatile roles, Cayleigh is also the owner of her brand merchandise and consistently works on opening new franchises.
Cayleigh has many achievements under her belt such as her strong presence on social media. However, maintaining her TikTok following is turning out to be a nightmare. Her TikTok accounts are being wrongfully reported by cyber bullies and her accounts banned.
Never one to give up, she is currently on her 15th account, but the problem still persists. Noting her exponential growth, Cayleigh notes, “If it wasn’t for a flawed reporting system, my account would be at a million plus followers.”
Cayleigh says, “I know my content is not violating guidelines because several fake accounts stealing my videos and reposting them are staying up and growing. Yet when I report the imposter accounts, I receive a “no violations” response. So how does any of this make sense?” She questions the flaws hampering her growth.
The thriving influencer maintains an active presence on social media because it leads to merchandise purchases and subscriptions. This helps her to provide and work on other business ventures. Her questions are important. Trolls and fake accounts should not be allowed to harm someone’s career. “How easy it is to shut one down when no violations are truly occurring, but when fake accounts spamming and stealing content continue to stay,” she voices her disappointment.
Nevertheless, the show goes on for the beauty with brains. Cayleigh’s journey to success inspires all those who may be struggling to find the right direction in life. It is a reminder of the fact never to give up and continue striving for betterment.
