Joshua Lipsey is a former celebrity trainer, fitness expert that has created a new form of training that he likes to call “Dynamic Frictional Training”.
The more we talk about a few professionals questioning norms and pushing boundaries to create new standards for others in their chosen sectors, the more we feel the need to discuss their stories and successes. It is also imperative to shine more light on such journeys, for they have the power to infuse more hope, positivity, and motivation among up-and-comers vying to make their mark in their chosen niches and industries.
The world of boutique fitness is a world of its own; volatile and unpredictable at the moment with Pilates and Heated Workouts taking center stage in popularity. “I think behaviours have changed and i’m not sure that society is quite ready to jump right back into that super high intensity boot camp just yet”. Lipsey see’s Dynamic Frictional Training as the bridge between the past and future with his low impact high intensity signature movements that you can do well into your 60’s. “I have a lot of clients that hate running but love the intensity of our classes and love the sweat factor”.
The 1983-born Fitness Expert was born in Toronto, Canada, studied at Sheridan College in Wyoming and has over 50 certifications in applied functional science. The knowledge he gained from his studies eventually helped him find his true calling of assisting others in their journeys to achieving their desired fitness goals and those in need of rehabilitation. “I became the trainer that physios send their clients too, they believe in me and trust my knowledge”.
