LONDON (UK)— Reports out of England are suggesting that Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger are beginning contract extension talks. The Sun is reporting that the Gunners will offer Wenger a 2-year contract worth 11.7 million.

For years, rumors have circulated that Wenger would love to return back to his native France and manage Paris Saint-Germain. With PSG struggling to find good form now, they could go after Wenger once more. The Gunners are looking to go ahead and secure Wenger for two more years and keep potential suitors, like PSG at bay for now.

The Sun is also reporting that chief executive Ivan Gazidis plans to give Wenger another 62.5 million to work with in the January transfer window. After signing Mesuit Ozil for a record 68.8 million on the last day of the transfer window, the Gunners still need to add a couple of players to truly become Premier League title contenders. Also, Ozil revealed that other teams may have offered him more money, but Wenger convinced him to come deploy his talents at The Emirates.
