ELMONT, NY:  The Minnesota Lynx won the Commissioners Cup Trophy, for the first time in franchise history, with a 94-89 victory over the New York Liberty.

In winning over New York, the Lynx are ready for a dialogue change in the WNBA, after beating the defending Cup champion Liberty, who won against the Las Vegas Aces last season.

“You got to talk about us now, you,’ve got no choice.” Coach Reeves told the media. Reeves went on talk about the win against the New York Liberty, which featured a lot of physical play with both teams.

To win the Commissioners Cup Trophy, Reeves was very excited that her team won the trophy. “We don’t really care what you think, except for right now, when we get to say, You’ve got to talk about us now.”

Reeves went on to talk about her players beating a superteam, and how hard that was. Minnesota has not been talked about before Tuesday night, very much.

Not only did Minnesota defeat the Liberty to clinch the title as champion of the 2024 WNBA cup, which was presented Coin base. Minnesota also won the $500,000 prize and raised $27,000 for their non-profit organization, Gender Justice.
