As the WWE just wrapped up the RAW exclusive pay-per-view, Great Balls of Fire, they can now turn there attention to Battleground. Due to the brand split, Battleground will be a Smackdown event. One of the matches set to happen at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia is a flag match between John Cena and Rusev. Both of these superstars returned to the Independence Day episode of Smackdown and pretty much made this match.

While most of the card has yet to be announced, this is one match I am very interesting in seeing play out. For starters, this match is being held in one of the toughest wrestling cities in the United States. It has been known for years that Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, and you could throw in Boston as being the toughest wrestling cities to wrestle in. Also, when a flag match happens there is a tendency for the crowd to pretty much cheer for the good guy because why would you not root for him.

Unfortunately, I could very easily see this match breaking that mold. The biggest reason I could see this match breaking that mold is due to how John Cena is been booked for the last few years. For as long as I can remember John Cena has been booked as the good, all- American boy. However, when you have been booked like that for a long time without turning heel, you tend to piss off your fans. If this was being held in any other city, this would not be a problem. However, when you are talking about Philadelphia, all bets are off the table. Some could say that the Philadelphia crowd is the probably the worst to perform in if your in any company.

This is not me taking a shot at the people of Philadelphia, it is me just saying that the Philadelphia crowd is tough to please.
