If you are playing in a fantasy football league that gives you points for special team contributions on punt and kickoff returns, one player I suggest taking a flyer on is Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver, Cordarrelle Patterson.
Patterson as a possible sleeper pick is based on the success of starting quarterback Christian Ponder. I think Ponder will improve and feel that Patterson could be very good for a game or two.
I wouldn’t classify him as a starting WR1, unless his special teams contributions count towards your points, I see him more like a bench player or–if you’re bold, a flex player.
With an offense that consists of Greg Jennings, Adrian Peterson and Kyle Rudolph, I wouldn’t expect Patterson to get many touches right immediately.
Projection : 48 Catches, 620 yards, five touchdowns receiving and three D/ST touchdowns.
