According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak has been fired.
Earlier reports suggested the Titans would retain Munchak, who has been on the hot seat since the regular season ended. Just one day later, he is fired in Tennessee. In his three years in Tennessee, Munchak posted a respectable 22-26 record. This past season, the Titans went 7-9. Despite these average records, the Titans decided to go in a different direction.
Munchak has been with the organization for over thirty years. He began his tenure as a player in 1982-1993, and then worked his way up the coaching ranks until eventually becoming head coach.
