If you are travelling to the United States of America for the first time, you will be having a lot of questions. The most common one that first travelers have on their mind is which all cities to visit. United States of America with its vast history and wonderful natural resources is blessed with a number of great cities. We endeavor to list a few cities which a first time traveler should not miss on his or her visit:
New York City: New York City or The Big Apple as it is called is a tourist magnet. Every traveler has this city on their itinerary when they visit the USA. The city houses the Wall Street, which is the nerve center of the financial industry; it has the wonderful Central Park, where in the world can you find acres upon acres of greenery right in the heart of the city.
The Statue of Liberty is another must visit for every traveler along with the Empire State Building, which was the tallest building in the world for a few decades before other countries started building taller ones.
Times Square is another place that a traveler should visit. For the shoppers, then the Diamond district should be on their itinerary. You can find wonderful diamond rings and other jewelry here, but be careful of the shoppers trap. Last but not the least a visit to the 9/11 Memorial is a must.
Las Vegas: The second city that is on most itineraries is Las Vegas. The gambling paradise is a travelers dream. The casinos, the people, the fountains, the lights are all very inviting, but Las Vegas is not about just gambling, the city has nice art section, plus there are hiking spots nearby. Shows and concerts are aplenty here. In short it is a place that has something for everyone.
Orlando: This city should be on every person’s itinerary who has kids or who feels like a kid. Yes, the Disney World is here. It is an attraction that has attracted kids for decades and still continues to do so. Meeting Mickey and Donald is a dream for many and they are able to realize their dream by coming here. If possible stay at the resort and enjoy a wonderful holiday.
Washington D.C.: The capital city should be on your itinerary. The White House, the Pentagon and other monuments are a must watch. The Smithsonian Museum should be visited and you will really love every minute there. The food, the people and everything connected with Washington D.C. is just wonderful.
Chicago: The city is famous now for the Millennium Park. A visit to the park and a few clicks near the bean is a must do activity. The city also boasts of a wonderful aquarium and great food. The night life is also great here. The only problem is the weather and ideally visiting in the summer would be great.
Los Angeles: Those who love the entertainment industry will surely visit Los Angeles. Home to Hollywood this is a city where you can come across celebrities everywhere. If you are lucky you may be talking with a Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie. You can also come across many wannabe actors here and if you love to act, you can also spend a few hours auditioning.
Miami: If you like the sun and the sand then you should head to Miami. It is a beach lover’s paradise and if you are a surfer you will love the place even more. You get wonderful Cuban and Mexican food here and the food lovers can give their taste buds a good workout here.
