CLEVELAND – While not as drama-filled as “The Decision 2.0”, LeBron James announced this that he will don the number that he made famous in his first stint with the Cavs—No. 23—once more.

In choosing to wear No. 23 again, the number he started out with when he was a sophomore at Akron’s St. Vincent-St. Mary High, showed that No. 23 is more than just a number to Cavs fans.  It’s a reminder of the most successful era in Cleveland Cavaliers history since the Mark Price-Brad Daugherty-Larry Nance teams of the 90’s.

After his announcement, The excitement and demand for James’ new Cavs jersey was so high to the point that NBA’s official online store stopped accepting pre-orders.

James is one of 11 players to wear the No. 23 with Cleveland, and based on his early success, No. 23 will be one day be raised to the rafters at Quicken Loans Arena alongside the likes of Price, Nance, Daugherty and his close friend in Zydrunas Ilgauskas.

Hopefully, for Cavs fans, there will also be a NBA title banner or two next to it.
