Australia.

What is it about this former British penal colony that seems to produce some of Hollywood’s top leading men?

From Hugh Jackman to the late Heath Ledger, Eric Bana, Chris and Liam Hemsworth, Guy Pearce, Sam Worthington, Mel Gibson to Ryan Kwanten and Alex O’Loughlin, there is just something in this nation’s proverbial DNA that grows amidst the wild bushwoods that seems to be a proverbial breeding ground for men that guys want to emulate and that women want to have sex with.

Is it the accent, the handsome ruggedness, the unbridled and raw masculinity that they seem to bring? Not to make my fellow American brethren feel bad, but name a movie, television show or men’s lifestyle magazine that doesn’t have an Aussie plastered on its cover or as its leading man.

As we enter the dog days of summer, it is still winter in The Land Down Under, and Australian model Tom Nunn is bringing his own form of heat. A dashingly handsome 6’1, Nunn has the roguishness charm and look of a younger Tom Hardy.

While Hardy is British, Nunn channels pure Aussie through and through thanks to his piercing and intense set of blue eyes and rugged five-o-clock shadow.

Tell us all a little bit about yourself? I am from the bushland of Sydney called Berowra growing up playing playing every sport under the sun, rugby was my main game and when that came to an end I went traveling and have been traveling on and off for the last 5 years. Now I am living in a beach town just a ferry away from the city and loving it, I have an unbelievable lifestyle at the moment I am very luck to able to surf before and after work.

Word on the street is that there’s this upcoming mega fight between these two dudes named Floyd and Conor. Who you got? If I were to put money down I would say Floyd, best defensive fighter in history against one of the most gnarly fighters but in an Octagon. I would like to see Conor win just to upset the sport.

From one brother to another, what’s the best thing about being a male model? From one brother to another…the female presence becomes a lot more common than before, instead of you asking someone to catch up the roles end up reversed. I’m not against that.

Biceps, triceps, quads, pecs? What is the one area that guys should concentrate on the most if they want to get fit and toned? As boring as it is, running gets you there. I would run for 5 kms then target the lower abs after for maybe 15 mins, some trainers might be against it but I believe that the upper abs come naturally.

What are your thoughts on the negative stereotypes that male models such as you get? I come from quite a masculine rugby background so I was always going to be hearing it from my mates, its a laugh off situation anyway so there’s no problem there for me.

The Rock, Arnold, Stallone? Who got if you had to five minutes to hang out with them and chop it up with? I think The Rock, he has done almost everything and comes across as such a positive guy.

What first inspired you to become a model? I was scouted at the pub so there wasn’t much inspiration at the time but I was at a stage in my life where I was thinking the next thing that I come across grab it with 2 hands.

Describe your daily workout routine? My daily workout would start with a surf in the morning then heading into the gym for a 5 km run moving into leg raises 3 sets of 10 and after that laying down with some leg kicks. Nothing too extreme.

With summer now here and fall right around the corner, what fitness and workout tips and trends do you have for looking good when the temperature drops? Try get as much sun as you can go for a surf it seems to help the skin. make sure you don’t get stuck at home doing delivery, make your own food. Moroccan oil for the skin/hair.

What’s the biggest difference between American and Australian style and fashion for men? Most men in America have their clothes baggy… where here in Australia I find most stuff is fitted.

Dating: what’s the biggest difference between Aussie and American/foreign women? I prefer foreign, and everyone that knows me probably knows too. The biggest difference I think is that with someone foreign they can teach you or even tell you so many things you would not know, a totally different lifestyle. Americans/Australians- I find it boring only because I understand the culture, nothing is new to me.

Dream date? Dream date… Salma Hayek, she is a weapon.

Dream model to work with? Jessica Alba

Video game console? XBOX or PS? PS

Sports question: Who are your favorite teams and clubs? Manchester United, St Louis Rams, Newcastle Knights, La Lakers, Nsw Waratahs and Average Joes!

What advice would you give to men aspiring to get into modeling? Stay healthy. Keep fit physically and mentally.

Any advice to your fellow Yankee brothers up here or how to step their style and women game up? Become a model, it seems to work, haha
