Number one overall seed Virginia Cavaliers head the South division. Who will be their opponent in the second round and more…

South Region:

#1 Virginia is the best team in the tournament from top to bottom, number 1 overall seed. They deserve everything that has come their way. Cavaliers will cruise through the first two rounds until a potential matchup with Arizona/Kentucky in the sweet 16.

#9 Kansas State plays a toss-up game against Creighton. Going with Kansas State because of how hard they play in a disciplined manner. They never get out of playing smart basketball not depending on the tempo of the game. It’s hard to break this team, which makes a game with Virginia interesting.

#5 Kentucky is playing the best basketball they have all season. Beat Tennessee in the SEC tournament final. Their defense and offense has picked up and they are getting their mold at this crucial time in the season.

#4 Arizona Wildcats will be with coach Miller. Trier and Ayton will play. Buffalo will struggle to get a rhythm, struggle with even a rebound in this game. Arizona by a lot.

#11 Loyola-Chi is playing a team that can light it up on a good day, but Loyola plays great defense and could be a Cinderella story in this tournament. I think their good defense will make for a tough day for Miami and the start of the potential run.

#3 Tennessee is still a really good team! Horizon league is also very weak and that’s how Wright State got in. This will be a good matchup for them with Schofield probably still a bit banged up. Tennessee gets back on track.

#7 Nevada I call them the smart team. They don’t do anything to jeopardize their chance of winning a game, ever. Texas has a nice squad, but haven’t put together wins in a very convincing manner. Really like Bamba, but the smart team wins this game every time.

#2 Cincinnati has Georgia State in the first round. The AAC champions look to show the best of their conference. Their hard play on both ends for forty minutes should not only take them to a big win, but a huge run in the tournament.
