The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their first loss of the season, dropping them to an 8-1 record. The Eagles are now fighting the injury bug and losing a huge weapon for their offensive success in tight end Dallas Goedert.

The Eagles will also be without Josh Sweat and Jordan Davis. Two games ago, the Houston Texans were pounding the ball on the Eagles’ defensive line, opening their eyes to the Washington Commanders, and giving them a blueprint to give the Eagles their first loss of the season.

Just a few days after the Eagles lost, general manager Howie Roseman asked two defensive linemen, journeymen Linval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh, to clog up that run game other teams are starting to accomplish ever since the absence of Jordan Davis.

Philadelphia will be facing the NFL’s leading rusher in 2021, Jonathon Taylor, and the Indianapolis Colts; the Colts will be looking to continue the run game against the Eagles after Taylor rushed for his best game this season. Philadelphia is looking to get back on track and become nine and one to remain on top of the NFC.
