MIAMI BEACH, FL — Unfazed by the rain in South Florida this past weekend, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit powered through the wet weather and showcased their sensational 2023 runway show at the W South Beach during Miami Swim Week®.

The city’s elite, celebrities, and fashion afficionados gathered to catch a glimpse of the 2023 issue models sashaying down the runway, accompanied by the aspiring Swim Search candidates.

Paying homage to the magazine’s upcoming 60th anniversary, the brand brought back some of the legends who are synonymous with the brand to help celebrate, including: Carol Alt, Elsa Benitez, Roshumba, Samantha Hoopes and Vendela Kirsebom.

Together, they embodied the epitome of style, showcasing the cutting-edge swimwear trends of the season. Undoubtedly the highlight of Miami Swim Week, this year’s event was packed with surprise moments.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit hosted its official 2023 runway show at the W South Beach during Miami Swim Week®. Models from the 2023 issue in addition to Swim Search hopefuls graced the runway in the latest swimwear trends. The show also paid homage to the magazine celebrating its 60th anniversary next year by bringing back some of the legends who are synonymous with the brand: Carol Alt, Elsa Benitez, Roshumba, Samantha Hoopes and Vendela Kirsebom.

Undoubtedly the highlight of Miami Swim Week, this year’s event was packed with surprise moments. The return of the brand’s legendary Vendela Kirsebom celebrated her remarkable journey since her first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover was revealed 30 years ago, which coincidentally was shot in sunny Florida.

The crowd erupted with excitement as current cover girl Brooks Nader sizzled down the catwalk alongside her three sisters – Grace Ann Nader, Sarah Jane Nader and Mary Holland Nader – making it a heartwarming family affair. Nicole Williams English graced the runway with her baby India Moon creating a full circle moment for the Rookie who announced her pregnancy on SI Swimsuit’s runway last year!

The fashion show presented a captivating collection of swimsuits and accessories, featuring empowering statements created by each model. Swim Search finalist Sharina Gutierrez donned a swimsuit stating “Love Always Wins,” while Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Kamie Crawford wore a piece declaring “Forward Thinking is Forward Fashion,” among others.

The VIP crowd continued the festivities at the exclusive nightlife hotspot Medium Cool, where the event was presented by La Adelita Tequila.

The weekend also included fun activations, pop-ups and gifting moments from brands including, Amino Lean, DIBS, Divi, Electric Picks, Get Quickies, Grande Cosmetics, JCPenney, JUVÉDERM® Collection of Fillers, Lain Snow, Left on Friday, Little Words Project, Mario Badescu, NIA LYNN, Royce & Rocket, and Sean Donaldson Hair.
