As Reese Warren gears up for the November 22nd release of her latest single Can’t Deny, the singer-actress reveals the personal and creative journey that inspired the track. Drawing from her own experiences and emotional exploration, Warren wrote the entire song herself, marking a departure from her previous collaborations. The single blends pop with reggaeton influences, reflecting her evolving sound and maturity as an artist. Warren also opens up about balancing her dual careers in music and acting, crediting a strong support system for helping her navigate the demands of both worlds.

1. Reese, your new single Can’t Deny is set to release on November 22nd. What was the inspiration behind this song?

My inspiration comes from many different areas of my personal life. Things happening around me and to me personally. Although, writing is also mathematic and strategic so sometimes I use words that work well together that don’t have a particular meaning to my life.

2. How does Can’t Deny differ from your previous music releases?

The biggest difference is I wrote the entire song on my own. My producer had the beat for a long time, and I connected with it. The sound is a lot more “me” in a lot of ways. The sound itself is very different from anything that I have released so far and the topic of my song is more mature.

3. You mentioned the track has elements of pop and island vibes. How did that unique combination come about?

My producer created the beat with a reggaeton vibe a while ago. It was just waiting for my lyrics to complete it.

4. What do you hope listeners will take away from the themes of love, vulnerability, and self-confidence in the song?

I think the message is to take the risk, be honest and transparent with yourself and a love interest. Even though there is uncertainty, it is better to know where you stand.

5. Can’t Deny sounds deeply personal. Was there a specific experience or story that shaped its lyrics?

The song does pull from my own experience however I believe most people are able to relate to wanting to guard your heart with a possible new relationship.

6. As an artist who also acts, how do you balance your time and energy between music and acting?

It is a juggle! LOL To be an artist means a lot of sacrifice.  I spend most of my time training and making sure I am not too behind in school. I love it, and I have a great support system to help me do auditions, get to set and work in the studio on my music. Without that, I would never be able to do what I do.

7. How has your role as MC Swag on LOL House of Surprises influenced your music career?

I wouldn’t say that this role particularly has influenced my music career. What has changed is my auditions though. I used to get some music auditions because I could sing, but now most of my auditions are roles that require singing. I love that!
