The Seattle Seahawks will be flying across the country this week. The team will be in the Meadowlands to take on the 1-2 New York Jets. The Jets are coming off a brutal 24-3 loss in Kansas City last week, while the Seahawks demolished the 49ers by a score of 37-18. With that said, I am feeling very well about the Jets this week, which does not happen often. Why may you ask? Let’s find out!

Let’s start with the Seahawks. First things first, they are flying East. Anytime a team comes from one coast to another, they are susceptible to a loss. Secondly,  the team simply has done nothing to impress me this season. Week one they barely pulled out a win at home against the Dolphins, who have looked terrible ever since. Week two they were brutally awful in a loss to the Rams. And sure they beat up the 49ers last week, but Chip Kelly’s club is arguably the worst team in the NFL. Finally, their quarterback Russell Wilson is dealing with several leg injuries. Wilson, who is on track to be active, is dealing with an MCL sprain in his left knee and a sprained right ankle.

So we will have a Wilson who will be less mobile than usual, and face a team that is built on their pass rush. The Jets secondary is suspect, but they are solid up front. I do not love the Jets overall as a whole, but their pass rush will do plenty to make them competitive in this game. Add in the fact that the Seahawks are never the same on the road, and this just sets up for the home team underdogs to come out on top. It will be a lower scoring, ugly affair, much like the Seahawks week two game against the Rams. And much like that week, the Seahawks will once again disappoint.
