[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The NFL has ruled on the Browns’ punishment for GM Ray Farmer texting down to the sidelines during games throughout the 2014 regular season.

The NFL has handed the Cleveland Browns a $250,000 fine along with dealing Farmer a four-game suspension without pay.  The Browns are very lucky they didn’t lose a pick.

The reason given was that the ownership team led by Jimmy Haslam did not now about Farmers actions and had nothing to do with it. It is just another black mark on his short reign as owner of the team thus far.

Many NFL insiders and fans feel that Ray Farmer blew the first round of the NFL draft last year for the Browns by picking Justin Gilbert and then Johnny Manziel, instead of taking the sure thing of Sammy Watkins only for Gilbert and Manziel to both bust.

After this latest snag, the pressure will be on Farmer to come through big in this year’s draft and re-affirm to the Browns fans and more importantly ownership, that he knows how to run a team.

Time will tell Browns fans, time will tell….[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
