With Gamerscom, in Cologne, Germany coming to end this week, the console war between video game juggernauts Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s Playstation 4 is just beginning.

Here is what is known so far: both Sony and Microsoft are launching their entry into the seventh generation of gaming consoles in November. Sony has released their console street date, November 15, 2013.

With no word out of the Microsoft camp, all signs point to November 5 for the much-anticipated launch of “Call of Duty: Ghosts” . This is the most likely date for the release, but as no official word has been spoken, this is just speculation.

However both have released their lineups for launch games. Microsoft has 23 titles at street date and Sony has 20.  A majority of these titles are coming to both systems.

Both of the consoles hold similar power, storage and features. Microsoft has touted the dual capabilities of the Xbox One. While Sony has stated that its system is for gamers by gamers.

This being said, there has been no real leader to emerge at the conference. Microsoft has leveled the playing field and righted the ship so to speak. The next few weeks will be a true test of each consoles wherewithal. With Penny Arcade Expo Prime and the Tokyo Game Conference coming up it has yet to be seen who the winner might be.

It has never been a better time to be a gamer. With that said, the months leading up to the November launch, check back at the Inscriber Digital Magazine for more on the Console War.
