Rudy Semah \ Jose Luis Pardo
Grammy award winner guitar player Jose “Cheo” Pardo and world renown virtuoso bass player Rudy Semah are joining forces together with an international band to record their single “Brazil is out”.
Composed and recorded by Semah at the height of the 2022 Soccer World Cup taking place in Quatar, Jose “Cheo” Pardo teamed up with him to celebrate their passion for the game with a song dedicated to the relegation of Brazil. Jose, who is of Venezuelan nationality, brought his humor to the field with the suggestion to dedicate a song for Brazil misfortune and Rudy started to play with the idea. Semah, who is also the producer, is a longtime collaborator with the Grammy winner, is known for his prominence in the Israeli modern jazz-rock scene, and has been leading many mind bending bands both there and in the US.The result is a soulful and funky tune that captures the joy of the game but has a sad overtone that fits the narrative perfectly.
