Hello, everyone!

If you work in an office, there comes a moment that everyone has to face at least once.

That’s right—nerve-wracking situations like important presentations or job interviews.

How do you manage your condition on such important days?

To be honest, I had a chronic problem that I couldn’t talk to others about.

It was severe nervous gastritis… I’d be perfectly fine normally, but as soon as an important PT or meeting date was set, my stomach would mysteriously start acting up.

Starting several days before the presentation, indigestion was the norm, and on the actual day, my solar plexus would feel blocked and stuffy, and I’d have to constantly go back and forth to the bathroom.

Cold sweats would pour down, my stomach would ache gradually, and I often couldn’t even stand properly, let alone review my presentation content.

Yet, whenever I saw my team leader and colleagues who trusted me enough to assign me important presentations, I felt grateful but…

On the other hand, I suffered from guilt thinking, “What if I mess this up?” I tried everything to break this vicious cycle.

I tried every method recommended on blogs or YouTube.

I tried taking Chungsimhwan (a traditional remedy), which is most commonly recommended, but while it might have reduced my heart palpitations a bit, the stomach pain remained.

In fact, I once fumbled through a presentation because the medicine made my head foggy.

I tried meditation and practiced deep breathing to calm my mind, but when I actually got on stage, my head would go blank and my stomach would still hurt like it was being squeezed…

Ah, I guess I’m just destined to live with stage fright… I was almost at the point of giving up.

Then I thought, “Maybe this isn’t just a psychological tension issue, but a physical reaction caused by my sensitive stomach?”

So I changed my approach and searched using keywords like nervous gastritis or stomach medicine instead of anxiety relief.

While browsing through countless reviews, I discovered a lifesaving post written by someone who had the exact same symptoms as me.

It was about Ohta-isan, known as Japan’s national digestive medicine, which is excellent for nervous indigestion.

Coincidentally, I had a business trip to Japan last month, so with a “nothing to lose” mindset, I stopped by a drugstore and bought Ohta-isan.

There were powder forms in cans, convenient packet forms, and pills, but I bought the one that was easy to carry.

And on the big day of my executive report, I felt like I had read my body’s instruction manual…

Usually, my stomach would hurt from the night before and I couldn’t sleep well, but I took it once the evening before the presentation and once on the morning of the actual day.

Wow… amazingly, my stomach felt so comfortable.

Maybe because of its characteristic herb scent(?), as soon as I took it, my stomach felt refreshed, and the feeling of indigestion that had been stuck went right down.

When my stomach was comfortable, I naturally became less nervous, which was good, but…

Most importantly, the anxiety of “what if my stomach hurts during the presentation?” disappeared, so I could focus entirely on the presentation.

Thanks to that, I was able to finish that day’s presentation most successfully since joining the company.

However, the problem was purchasing it. I couldn’t go to Japan every time, and as it was running out, I became anxious.

I looked on Coupang, which I often use, but there was no place selling it for domestic delivery right away, probably because it’s a pharmaceutical product…

So I was wondering if I had to go to Japan again…? when I discovered a place that does <오타이산 직구>.

At first, I was scared that direct purchase would take a long time for delivery and the process would be complicated, but the world has really become convenient these days!

When I found a direct purchase site with good reviews and placed an order, the delivery was surprisingly very fast and arrived safely at my doorstep without any damage.

Now I’ve become such an Ohta-isan evangelist that I even divide and share it with acquaintances who have important meetings or interviews coming up.

I keep reordering it regularly and stocking it as a household medicine, which gives me peace of mind.

If there are people whose stomachs hurt on important days and can’t perform to their full potential,

Don’t just blame it on mind control, and try methods like mine to comfort your stomach.

I’m not sure if there’s an old saying that “when your stomach is comfortable, everything goes well”… but there’s not a single thing wrong with it!

For those who might search for it, I’ll leave below the link to the 오타이산 직구 site I used.

I wish you all success with your upcoming important schedules!
