When you have a toxic, America-destroying socialist combo spewing Marxist/Leninist ideologies, with tens of millions of supporters, vying to take our dearly-loved republic away from us, what do we the constitutionalists do about it?

What do the Republicans do about a radical Communist Democratic platform, outlining a rotten plan of overblown unconstitutional federal government authorities, massive tariffs and taxes on the middle class that will no doubt continue crumbling the economy the way Barack Obama has over the last 8 years, and radical gun control curtailing our Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms.

To sum up the Democratic platform, American voters and we the Tea Party can evidently see the Saul-Alinsky-inspired, the Carl-Marx-inspired ideologies of trashing the status quo, of attacking our Judeo-Christian values, of literally shredding the Constitution. With every word on the Democratic platform, the DNC is showing We the People that a full on communist takeover of our republic is in order, and irreplaceable damage will no doubt be done to our Shining City on a Hill.

To combat all the radical, self-control-lacking leftist proposals in the Democratic platform, the Republican Party has realized that central-leaning, bipartisan, liberal-conservative platforms can no longer cut it. Echoing the words of Ted Cruz himself, “sending to Washington, a strong, principled, freedom-loving, Constitution-defending message.” In fact, the 2016 GOP platform truly is a reflection of most, if not all of Cruz’s deeply-held ideologies.

In many senses, this platform is a combination of staunchly conservative Cruz principles and flashy Trump rhetoric. It includes the strong southern border defense wall and illegal immigrant deportations championed by Donald Trump. Those policies, if done without excess spending, can significantly bolster the economy and would be a terrific message to lawbreakers and smugglers alike that to enter America’s borders, rules need to be followed and assimilation has to happen. Illegal immigration without assimilation is national suicide. This Trumpets policy solves many problems and we at Liberty Lad’s Conservative Corner are fully supportive of the proposal.

The flashy yet surprisingly practical Trump-inspired policy aside, the 2016 platform sets us up for success, brings back our Constitutional values, and is a statement that Reagan, Tea Party Conservatism is alive and well in America.

This is a list of four proposals, summarized, that I, and conservatives all across the nation, absolutely love about the platform.

  1. Adherence to Enlightenment-inspired, Judeo-Christian values

The first people who landed on our shores, the Pilgrims at Plymouth, escaped Britain for religious liberty. Religious freedom has always been an irreplaceable part of America’s heritage and the 2016 Republican platform. We the conservatives believe in God-given liberties that no legislator nor politician has the authority to deny. In the text of the platform that has been reported by various news agencies such as the New York Times, it is said that “man-made law must be consistent with God-given, natural rights”. This quality of the platform brings about numerous conservative policies and amendments to the platform. Because of the left’s constant attacks on our First Amendment, Republicans have stressed the importance of religious liberty, a movement evident in the North Carolina religious reform bill. In the words of John Locke, “the law of nature stands as an eternal rule to all men, legislators as well as others. The rules that legislators make for other men’s actions. . .  must conform to the law of nature, which is a declaration of the will of God. ”

Also in the platform, the delegates have suggested that the Bible should be taught in public schools as a piece of American history. That’s a great idea considering all the animosity and hate that’s been thrown around by the Democrats over the last couple of years. In addition, faith holds the politicians in Washington accountable and motivates them to make the moral, correct decisions for America.

2. Staunch Pro-Life Stance

As an extension to the first point, we believe that every life, born or unborn, is a sacred gift from God. In the Fourteenth Amendment, it is stated that “nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.” The staunch pro-life, pro-liberty stance is, in many ways, message to the Supreme Court’s recent ruling killing the Texas common-sense abortion regulations. Defunding Planned Parenthood, the nation’s biggest provider of abortions using taxpayers’ money, is a must. Any viable, responsible commander-in-chief should and will order the Justice Department to conduct a full-scale investigation on Planned Parenthood, exposing its many illegal, immoral practices.

In the actual draft document, this is how the Republicans worded its stance on abortion: ”

We assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed.

We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to children before birth. We oppose the use of public funds to perform or promote abortion or to fund organizations, like Planned Parenthood, that perform or advocate it and will not fund or subsidize health care which includes abortion coverage.”

3. Free Market Capitalism

Less tariffs, less taxes, more opportunity, wealth creation, and more options! Don’t we love those things as  Americans? Isn’t free market capitalism the reason why the Founding Fathers left Britain because tyrants don’t recognize nor acknowledge private property rights? Lowering tariffs and taxes creates jobs, unleashing the potential of the economy, getting the government out of the way, leaving wealth creation to hard working Americans. These are the policies and ideologies described in the platform, called the most conservative platform in the history of the Republican National Committee. While Donald Trump has refused to acknowledge the importance of free trade, and is leaning closer and closer to Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton on trade. The Republican platform stresses the importance of opportunity, low regulations and much less government intervention. With a failing economy under the incapable rule of Barack Obama, this country needs saving.

4. Upholding Traditional Marriage Values

In the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution, it is stated that “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States.” As this is tied into the First Amendment and stressing the importance of religious liberty in this country, the individual states should have the ability to decide whether or not same-sex marriage should be allowed. No where in the Constitution is marriage mentioned, and the decision to rule same-sex marriage a Constitutional liberty by the leftist-infested Supreme Court is a blatant violation of both the First and Tenth Amendment. While same-sex/traditional marriage values isn’t a huge issue in my opinion, I am a supporter of traditional marriage but also respect those homosexuals who wish to get married. Therefore, I think it is important for the people at the state level

In 2017, it is important to overturn the Supreme Court decision on same sex marriage with a Constitutional amendment, using Article Five. That gives the authority to determine the issue of marriage to the states, and that’s where most of the powers should reside.

As the Republican Platform Committee continues to convene and come up with new amendments and legislation, new conservative ideologies will be revealed. From what we’ve seen so far, they are very conservative and offer a very promising glimpse of hope into the future.
