The Galaxy Unpacked event of this year, unveiling Samsung’s summer flagship phones, fell on July 10th, which did not hold any big surprises not only because everything was leaked to the Internet ahead of time, but also because the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 models received only a modest face-lift this year compared to their predecessors introduced less than a year ago.

In the case of the Flip6, which is reminiscent of the clamshell phones of the past, there are two changes in terms of appearance, one of which is imperceptible, and the other was necessary so that the phone would not be so easily confused with last year’s model. In terms of weight, the device has not changed at all (187 grams), and in terms of dimensions, there is only a 0.2 millimeter difference. The latter affects the curved state; in this position, the phone is that much thinner than its competitor in the Vivo price list. Of course, this is imperceptible to the naked eye, so the two mobiles could easily be confused, but Samsung’s designers have very creatively designed colorful rings around the cameras, so experts can tell which is last year’s and which is this year’s model.

The sizes of the external (3.4-inch) and internal (6.7-inch) displays have not changed, nor have the capabilities of the panels. An important change regarding the outside of the phone’s casing is that the rather modest 12-megapixel main camera is replaced this year by a 50-megapixel module (wide angle; Dual Pixel AF; OIS; f/1.8) that debuted in the Galaxy S24, while the internal selfie and external ultra-wide units are the same as last year.
In addition, another significant innovation is that the device is now dust and splash resistant according to the IP48 standard, it has received a new vapor chamber for better performance, and finally the number indicating the battery capacity also starts with 4, meaning that a total of 4000 mAh batteries have been placed in the device. The 10 percent increase compared to last year will hopefully have a positive effect on the operating time, as this has been the biggest problem with not only the Flip phones so far but also the other mid-range devices like the A34. Otherwise, the Samsung A34 price to performance ratio makes it a strong competitor in its segment.
Everything else follows the usual progression: 256 and 512 gigabyte storage options with 12 gigabytes of memory, a Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chipset optimized for Galaxy devices, and the usual 25-watt wired charging, which is quite embarrassing given that Nothing’s 70,000 and Motorola’s 100,000 phones offer more than that. Wirelessly, we also have to make do with a maximum speed of 15 watts, and of course, we won’t find an adapter in the box this year either.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 will be available in silver, yellow, blue and mint colors, with the Android 14 operating system and the One UI 6.1.1 interface equipped with artificial intelligence capabilities never seen before on Galaxy S24 phones , at the following recommended retail prices:

With a similar Samsung mobiles price in pakistan the handsets are available in limited numbers. As for the AI functions, the device has received the options that debuted in the Galaxy S24 models, which have been partially expanded here: for example, the interpreter (who still does not know many known languages) shows the translated text to us on the half-folded phones, and to the conversation partner on the outside. There are also new features: the AI creates regular drawings in several styles from our lame scribbles, we can also transform portraits in different styles, and in the case of selfies, the system automatically detects when we step back and adjusts the zoom accordingly for the best possible photo. It is sad, however, that language-based AI solutions (such as translation or meeting summaries) are still not available in our native language, only the chat assistant can be used in Urdu.
