MIAMI BEACH, FL – Sexy, sultry and cool. If there are three words that could have best described Miami Swim Week down in South Beach, it would be it.
Fast-paced, full of energy with some of the hottest up-and-coming brands such as Bomba Bambola, Bikini Beach Australia and Feelyn Swim showing off the season’s hottest new looks and trends such as the high-waist cut bodysuit and classy two-piece bikinis, summer is indeed here!
And what better place to kick off the season, in the shadow of COVID-19, than in the unofficial swimwear capital of the world than Miami. With big-name trade show events such as Paraiso Miami Beach, DC Swim Week, Flying Solo and A-list events such as the Sports Illustrated Fashion Show and the Miss Bikini US pageants going on in and around the area, it’s easy to see why the only season down here in South Florida is bikini season, thanks to the culture of wearing a two-piece counting and proper attire.
Miami Swim Week helped set the tone for summer in the sense of old becoming new again with the revival of the 50’s-style bikini suits, and a classier, chic look, in addition to more daring and revealing styles and cuts.
If there were two truly breakout name brands than many will come to know more of is L.A.-based Copacabana Beachwear by Colombian-born designer Roxanna L. Faithful, who was one of the brands most-talked about at MSW thanks to their trademark colorful and vibrant looks.
One of the other most-talked about swimwear lines down at MSW ’21 was New York-based Chixit and their swimwear line Chixit Swim, which thanks to their uber-popularity on social media platforms such as Instagram brought some serious sizzle to SOBE all week.
With the season now in high gear and many wanting to hit the beach in some of the hottest looks and styles, Miami Swim Week not only brought the heat this past week, but provided some real glamour, and glitz into what promises to be a great season for all.
