The Los Angles Dodgers and the Oakland A’s have made a deal that the Dodgers got OF Josh Reddick and starter Rich Hill from the A’s and the Dodgers are sending three prospects to Oakland. We are still over two hours from the deadline, so it may not be the only deal the Dodgers or A’s do today.

Being that the Los Angeles Dodgers have gotten their OF in Josh Reddick, it may show the direction the team will be going with current OF Yasiel Puig. He has only started one game in the last ten days and is highly expendable with Josh Reddick now being part of the Dodgers. He is only 29 years old and is eligible for free agency when the season is over. But many baseball experts think that the Dodgers could sign him to a longer contract because of his power. In 2016, he has posted a career- best .816 OPS this season and has eight homers while suffering an injury.

Rich Hill is also eligible for free agency after this season is currently sidelined with a blister on his throwing hand. However, he should be able to boost the rotation that is down to three healthy starters after Bud Norris suffered an injury on Sunday. Yahoo Sports is reporting the A’s are getting Grant Holmes, Frankie Montas, and Joel Cotton will go north to a rotation that is always rebuilding. We are still a few hours away from the deadline at 4 pm. Stay tuned to Inscriber Digital Magazine to hear the latest.
