We may be seeing Los Angeles Dodgers possibly be moving Yasiel Puig.
The Los Angeles Dodgers placed the struggling outfielder Yasiel Puig on waivers a few days ago as they are trying to move him as they have had problems with him for some time. Since he ha been in Los Angeles since 2013 his numbers across many of offensive categories. For example, in 2013 he had 19 homers and has gone down that he only has 7 homers this season.
When he came up in 2012, he came up around the same time as Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, Giancarlo Stanton, and Manny Machado who are considered to be the future of baseball. Well, Yasiel Puig was supposed to be in that group and he has not performed to what was the expectations for him.For the last few years, the Dodgers have had four outfielders and it has seemed for some time that Puig would be out odd man out.
It should also be noted that Puig has had a bit of a rough relationship with the Dodgers management as they sent him down toTriple-AA around the trade deadline time. He was placed on waivers and today was claimed by an unknown team.
Baseball fans were going all over the internet to see if they could find the team that claimed Puig. There have been some rumors floating around that the team that claimed Yasiel Puig was the Boston Red Sox. As of this writing, the Boston Red Sox are two games behind the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League East, so any help they can get would help them.
If this rumor is true and the Red Sox did claim him, they have 48 hours to complete the trade. If the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers do pull this trade off it won’t be the first time that these two teams have recently done moves. The most recent one that I remember is a trade that happened a few years ago that involved Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford, and several other players.
Stay tuned to find out if Yasiel Puig does leave Los Angeles by the end of this week.
