With 2023 first round pick and Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young being unceremoniously benched for Andy Dalton, the Carolina Panthers showed that thy may be the worst-run and owned franchise in the NFL. Below are my rankings of the bottom half of the league.

32.) Carolina Panthers: This team is an absolute mess! From ownership on down. Would not shock me if they only win one game this year.

31.) New York Giants: Once one of the great ownership groups in NFL, the G-Men are now a laughing stock with the Danny Dimes contract and letting RB Saqoun Barkley slide down –95 to South Philly.

30.) Denver Broncos: Denver is obviously in a rebuilding mode. The failed Russell Wilson trade has absolutely set them back years, and the talent on the team has definitely dwindled down by poor drafts and signings by this team’s front office.

29.) L.A. Rams: Arron Donald is gone and it shows. The only reason this team will look somewhat competitive is their genius head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Matthew Stafford, who looks old and this team’s playmakers always seem to be hurt.

28.) Washington Commanders: New owner, new coach and a rookie at QB, hopefully trending upward. This past week, they beat the Giants barely. Still, the Commanders just don’t have the talent to compete for a NFC East title.

27.) Tennessee Titans: The Titans have shown some fight, but against a young Bears team and no Jordan Love for Green Bay. Both should have been winnable games.

26.) New England Patriots: I believe Coach Mayo and staff will have the Patriots playing hard this season, but the talent level is not there and will be turning over the QB1 position to one of the rookie first-round pick Drake Maye at some point, if and when things appear to take a step in the right direction.

25.) Jacksonville Jaguars: I think this coaching staff has started feeling the heat as they may be close to going to the dreaded 0-3. Which is a surprise considering the talent this team has. But the $275 million dollar question is…when is Trevor Lawrence gonna take that next step?

He had plenty of weapons so there really should be no excuses.

24.) Indianapolis Colts: Anthony Richardson ranks dead last in starting QB comp. And let’s be honest, athleticism can only get you so far, if you’re a better running back then QB. The Colts are another team that should have no more excuses. So, a 0-3 start would be distracting.

23.) Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams is a rookie, but has a lot of weapons and a GM that seems to make trades at requests. The Bears really never change do they ? They do get a defense that can play, and win a few games, but when is ownership gonna stop getting a free pass? Every QB this team gets if it’s in the draft, by trade, or even free agency, seems to fail.

So why is that?

New coaches, new front office, yet same results. Ownership needs to start taking some of the blame for its many failures.

22.) Cincinnati Bengals: This team is dealing with injuries and contract negotiations, and always seem to have a tough schedule at the beginning of the year. As long as QB Joe Burrow and WR Jamar Chase stay healthy (and happy) they have a chance to win!

21.) Baltimore Ravens: I almost feel bad putting them this low, but I kind of have to, with the 0-2 start. Look, we all know they are a pretty good team with weapons, who had the unlucky draw of having to play the Chiefs on Opening Night. The Raiders game was winnable so no excuses.

20.) Las Vegas Raiders: Gardner Minshew is not the answer by any means, but a great defense and a great head coach, can cover up some of those problems. The Raiders defense will keep them in a lot of games, but the real question is, can the offense take the next step in time?

In conclusion, do you notice the trend of “most” of these teams? What’s the main issue? Front office and ownership are not on par or in sync.
