Hip-Hop Beginnings
Formerly recognized as MellyRow Stackz, RowStacks has risen as a celebrated figure in New York’s hip-hop scene. Born Jamaal M. Kennedy, his journey into music began in childhood. By the age of ten, songwriting became an expressive outlet, laying the foundation for his artistry. Influenced by his older brother Sig Smoo, a pivotal member of The Hoodz (now K Davis the Hitman), RowStacks found early inspiration to pursue a career in music. His professional journey began when he signed with the indie powerhouse Cee-Lo Records.
Trials and Triumphs
RowStacks’ tenure at Cee-Lo Records brought many achievements, including sharing stages with iconic artists such as Ja Rule, Method Man, and R&B legends So for Real. However, personal obstacles led to a brief hiatus, culminating in his departure from the label. Unfazed, RowStacks redefined his focus and reignited his career by partnering with Woodz Ground Entertainment. This collaboration birthed a critically-acclaimed mixtape co-produced by Marko, positioning RowStacks as an artist on the rise.
