Amass Your Resources
First and foremost, we require sticker paper—more particularly, weatherproof matte sticker paper—to create these holographic stickers. Even after being washed, this paper is excellent at maintaining its shape and integrity. It is comprised of a synthetic polymer that closely resembles vinyl paper.

How to Make Your Stickers
Choose your adhesive paper in step 1.

Create Your Stickers
Draw out the design of your sticker first. On my iPad, I enjoy using the Procreate software. I need to create a solid layer outline backdrop for my piece because my style is sketch-like, so the border will be smooth and not jagged.
I finish formatting it on my laptop when I finish with the backdrop by AirDropping it there. Although you may format using the Cricut software directly, I perform all formats and outlines in Photoshop. I won’t go into great detail on how to produce stickers, but there is a 20-minute video available if you want to learn how to use a Cricut machine to create stickers from scratch.

Technique
We will first use our Cricut machine to cut out all the stickers from the foil-on sheets. I prefer to use waterproof sticker paper with a light cardstock setting. After the stickers have been cut, switch on the laminator and set it to the hot setting to heat it. Fold a sheet of printer paper in half. This will serve as the container for the decals to enter the laminator. Lay the stickers out on the bottom half of the copy paper, then measure and cut the hollow laminate to completely cover the stickers.
