The Golden State Warriors won their second NBA championship in three years. Yet, one question remained for the team and now there is an answer in a form of a tweet.

Stephen Curry has stated that “by acting and not going, hopefully that will inspire some change when it comes to what we tolerate in this country.” He also said this during Warriors media day when asked.
Easily the most forceful answer at Warriors Media Day on the White House decision has come from Steph Curry pic.twitter.com/01av461eCZ

Even without an invite, Curry has made it clear he didn’t plan on attending. As for head coach Steve Kerr he indicated a need to consider attending based on “respect for the office.” Still that doesn’t matter now as it is apparent no invite is coming. It also speaks volumes when one of the NBA’s most visible players has made his stance clear from day one and he has never wavered on this.
The Warriors players and fans now can breathe a sigh of relief with this news.
Here’s also a look at the responses to the tweet itself.
Trump clearly went with the “break up with them before they break up with you” strategy w/ Stephen Curry & the Warriors…

It looks like Golden State can cancel that team vote now. And, there was no hesitation from Steph. https://t.co/j48SIOjbt2
