Many of us witnessed a Super Bowl for the ages.
This is the second Super Bowl week that I have had the honor of going too. The atmosphere knowing that you are surrounded by football immortality is beyond what you would expect. I was simply amazed by the preparation that the city of Houston put in Super Bowl week. I was much more prepared on my agenda for Houston compared to my first experience in San Francisco during Super Bowl 50. After my first experiences in San Francisco, I knew that I had to prepare the day after the Super Bowl in San Francisco to make sure that Houston would be a better experience.

I arrive late Wednesday Night into the Houston area so I didn’t plan to do anything at all. I miss out on a party hosted by Michael Silver at the Hughes Manor because I went to bed before the text message to show up appeared. I first went to the George Brown Convention center to look at a few things and see the shop. If you go to a Super Bowl shop be prepared to spend money even if you don’t have any. They had various different activities for fans to participate in such as fitting inside a giant helmet of your favorite team and watching live broadcasts from your favorite stations.
Thursday night was Cigars with the Stars hosted by Mike Ditka and Ron Jaworski. That night I met many people at this party, and one of them included one of my favorite players ever in Ray Lewis. I talked to Ray for about 10 minutes, which was mainly about his book. If you haven’t read it, it’s certainly a good read. I saw more legends of the game for those three hours than I have in my entire lifetime.

Players and Pets took place on Friday which had professional athletes and celebrities walk various pets to raise adoption awareness. I saw pets of all shapes and sizes getting red carpet treatment from NFL stars.
Saturday is one of the biggest parties for SuperBowl week. The party is invitation only through Leigh Steinberg, who is one of the most respected sports agents in the game today. This was my second time experiencing Steinberg’s party which was nothing short of spectacular. The Steinberg party was my first exposure to any type of SuperBowl experiences and it didn’t disappoint by any means. I met many stars from Troy Aikman to Warren Moon. I was able to see what Athletes and coaches are like off the field.
