After dropping out of the University of Calgary, Nathan Sharma set out on a journey to achieve self-complacency. He started by trying his luck in the hospitality industry, and it was during this time that he acknowledged his yearning to achieve something greater in life.
Nathan was determined to discover his true passion. And not long after, serendipity prompted him to tap into his entrepreneurial prowess. Nathan decided to kick-start multiple online business ventures, which included a B2B business and an e-commerce business.
His efforts looked promising, but his impatience and lack of practical knowledge saw those ventures meet a fruitless end. Nathan realized that success was to be achieved by focusing on one goal at a time. He became a strong advocate of Confucius’s philosophy that asserts that “a man who chases multiple rabbits gets none.”
In 2017, Nathan decided that his ambitions would best be utilized if he worked to advance his family business. He joined NIWE Academy as a cleaner and helped move furniture around. It was through his hardwork and dedication that he later rose to the position of Chief Operating Officer at the academy. Nathan had his mind set on turning this small business venture into a multimillion-dollar corporation.
Not long after Nathan joined and made efforts, the academy began to grow and achieve milestone after milestone. The employee number rose from 4 to 30, and the earnings rose from six figures to a multimillion-dollar revenue.
Nathan worked on creating a space that would provide the highest quality education within the beauty and wellness industry. He helped NIWE Academy achieve a gold standard approach in cosmetology, which led it to win the Platinum Award at the Community Votes Calgary.
Currently, Nathan continues to work to increase the growth potential of the academy. He is quick to identify new opportunities and realizes the need to build strategic partnerships with other businesses. Alongside his passion to help the company grow, Nathan has been coaching emerging entrepreneurs to navigate their way through the business world. He wishes to impart experience-based knowledge to all voyagers who are finding it difficult to survive in this ruthless business industry. For this reason, Nathan has also been working on establishing a platform and a learning management system that could help him change the luck of young entrepreneurs who are in need of guidance.
