MIAMI, FLA – This is an exciting time for unrivaled!  After a very successful Inaugural run, the league is significantly expanding and bringing in huge names for Season 2, which tips off January 5, 2026.

The league is growing and professionalizing rapidly, with expansion, increased schedule and a major influx of talent.

1. Expanded league and increased talent pool.

    • More teams: The league is expanding
     from six to eight teams.

    • More players:  The total number of
      players is increasing from 36-48, with
      six players per team
     
    • The Development Pool: A six-player
      development pool is being introduced
      to provide immediate injury relief and
      further deepen the talent pool.  These
      players will earn the same minimum
      salary as rostered players.

   •  New Star Power:  Several top WNBA
      Players and rookies are joining for
      Season 2, most notably 2025 WNBA
      Rookie of the Year Paige Bueckers
      (Who signed a deal reportedly ex-
      ceeding her WNBA rookie contract
      earnings).  Other notable newcomers
      include Kelsey Plum, Cameron Brink,
      Rickea Jackson, and Kelsey Mitchell.

2.  Schedule and viewing upgrades:  The
     second season begins on Monday,
     January 5, 2026 – goes to Wednesday,
     March 4, 2026, where the champion-
     ship game will play.

  • The partnership with TNT Sports is
     expanding to include a fourth broad-
     cast day per week (Monday, Friday,
     Saturday, and Sunday). There are no
     more back-to-back games, which was
     a concern in the first season.

  •. The league is moving beyond it’s
      single city studio venue in Miami for
      the first time.  The regular season
      will feature a special stop in Phila-
      delphia, PA for one weekend in
      January, allowing players like Philly
      native Kahleah Copper to play in
      front of the home court.

    • The playoff structure will be ex-
      panded to include six clubs (up from
      four) with the top two seeds earning
      byes into the semifinals.

3.  The format remains the same.

   • Will continue the exciting fast-paced
      3-on-3 form and will remain the core
      of the league.

   • The popular 1-on-1 Tournament pre-
      sented by Sprite will return in the
      middle of February, featuring star
      players competing head-to-head in
      single elimination.

    • Key Returning Stars are Co-founders
      Breanna Stewart (Mist BC) and
      Napheesa Collier (Lunar Owls BC) will
      return as will Inaugural finals MVP
      Chelsea Gray (Rose BC) and leading
      scorers like Arike Ogunbowale (Must
      BC) and Rhyne Howard (Vinyl BC).

The teams to watch out for Season 2 are:

   • Breeze BC is an expansion team is a
     huge attraction, this new team
     featured a powerhouse of young
     talent:  Paige Bueckers, Cameron
     Brink and Rickea Jackson.

   • Mist BC:  Breanna Stewart’s squad
     added scoring and defense including
     a reunion between Dallas Wings team-
     mates Arike Ogunbowale and Allisha
     Gray.

   • Rose BC:  The defending champions
     will look to repeat behind the Veteran
     leadership and clutch play of Chelsea
     Gray and star forward Kahleah
     Copper.

Season 2 is starting on Monday, January 5, 2026, keep a look out for schedule.
